International DNA Database to Identify Trafficking Victims

An international DNA database, dubbed "DNA-Prokids," has been developed to fight human trafficking. The database will include the DNA profiles of homeless children and that of parents or family members who are missing a child.

The database was founded by Dr. Jose Lorente, of the Laboratory of Genetic Identification at the University of Granada, in Spain.
